Description
Join our exciting outdoor workshops where children become 'little circular heroes' learning about the circular economy through hands-on activities in nature. These field workshops, inspired by the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform and the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI), aim to introduce young minds to sustainability concepts in an engaging, interactive way.
Workshop activities:
- Nature's cycles exploration: children will observe and document natural circular systems in local parks, forests, or gardens
- Trash treasure hunt: guided collection of discarded items to be transformed into art or useful objects
- Urban garden planting: hands-on experience creating small gardens using recycled containers
- Water cycle experiments: simple outdoor experiments demonstrating water purification and reuse
- Composting adventure: learning how food waste transforms into valuable soil
Participants will understand basic circular economy principles, develop environmental awareness, and learn practical sustainability skills they can apply at home and school. Through playful discovery, children will connect with nature while developing an appreciation for resource conservation.
