Description
Competitiveness and sustainability must go hand in hand for Europe’s industry to thrive. This event will explore how policymakers and industry leaders can use data-driven strategies to foster innovation in the packaging sector while maintaining a competitive edge.
A keynote address by an LCA expert will highlight why robust data and harmonised methodologies are essential for effective policymaking. A high-level panel discussion, featuring representatives from industry, the EU Commission, and the European Parliament, will tackle critical questions: How can EU policies drive both sustainability and industrial competitiveness? What regulatory framework is needed to support innovation?
The discussion will also highlight industry success stories and the importance of regulatory clarity, harmonisation, and better data in shaping a competitive and sustainable future.
The event is targeted to stakeholders in the packaging sector, as well as broader industry and institutional representatives interested in circular economy policies and the competitiveness of EU industry. The event will be structured with a keynote speech, a panel discussion (with four panelists), a closing remark by EPPA’s President, Fredrik Davidsson, and a networking lunch.
