Description
It is our pleasure to invite you to join the CIRC-UITS project webinar 'How can digital tools enable circular economy?' on 3 June, from 10:30 to 12:00 (CEST). The webinar will feature presentations on innovative digital tools that support sustainability in design and manufacturing, as well as aid circularity decision-making in the automotive and electronics value chains.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn first-hand how the TXT digital information exchange platform and re-use marketplace work, enhancing value chain transparency. The session will also highlight how the SUPSI methodologies and tools support sustainability and circularity decision-making in manufacturing through life cycle assessment and advisory services. Additionally, the MARAS recycling simulation tool will be presented to assess recycling and end-of-life sustainability, while the OFFIS digital twin will showcase how it fosters advisory.
Please join us on 3 June to explore the synergies between two major revolutions of our time: circular economy and industry 4.0. The event is open to the general public, with a particular focus on attracting industry representatives who will benefit from the technological advancements discussed by the speakers. Policymakers, researchers and other stakeholders interested in circular practices are also encouraged to attend.
What is CIRC-UITS?
The international project CIRC-UITS (circular integration of independent reverse supply chains for the smart reuse of industrially relevant semiconductors), launched on 1 January 2023, addresses the emerging semiconductor material crisis by supporting value chains in the automotive and mass electronics industries.
The project develops digital solutions for the design, manufacture, and management of electronic components and end-of-life products, including testing in an appropriate industrial environment. CIRC-UITS also develops sustainable methods based on a circular model to produce new high-value components and products by reusing semiconductors from different sources, supporting their remanufacturing.
