Description
The territory's sustainable development represents a crucial challenge to ensure the valorisation of local resources without compromising their cultural and environmental identity. The opportunities offered by the integration of the local economy, work, archaeology, and traditions highlight the fundamental role of historical origins in shaping a more sustainable future. Through an analysis of best practices, strategies are illustrated for the relaunch of territorial economies based on the protection and promotion of cultural and archaeological heritage, responsible tourism, and productive activities linked to local traditions.
The meeting presents the excellences of cultural and environmental heritage subject to enhancement through Project UNIFE/CCIAA 2023, funded by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Handicrafts and Agriculture of Ferrara. The focus is on trade, food traditions, and crafts excellences in the ancient Etruscan city of Spina: tourist and information routes that aim to understand the adaptive capacities of past communities to face the climate challenges in the Po Delta territory.
The aim is to demonstrate how the synergy between past and innovation can generate new employment prospects, promoting economic growth while respecting identity and the environment, and valorising the existing Museo del Territorio di Ostellato through a thematic update and cultural offering.
