Tarnowskie Góry Green Week with Theatre

Art has a unique power to educate and inspire action. On 4 and 5 June, Tarnowskie Góry Cultural Centre will host an event that combines ecological education with theatre. Tarnowskie Góry Green Week with Theatre is a series of four exceptional performances designed for children and young people, addressing environmental issues and encouraging sustainable actions.

For the youngest audience, the play Escape from the Zoo presents the consequences of mismanaging natural resources and environmental pollution in an engaging and accessible way. The story follows animals fleeing from the zoo in search of a clean and healthy place to live. Along their journey, they encounter issues such as excessive waste, water and air pollution, and the destruction of natural ecosystems. This theatrical experience encourages children to reflect on their daily choices and demonstrates how even small changes in habits can contribute to environmental protection.

For teenagers, the play 'Dream of a Planet' symbolically explores challenges related to climate change, overconsumption, and environmental degradation. The performance prompts reflection on how consumer choices impact the circular economy and how zero-waste principles and responsible resource management can be implemented. Additionally, it highlights the effect of air quality on public health and well-being, emphasising the importance of innovative environmental solutions.

Tarnowskie Góry Green Week with Theatre is an excellent opportunity to blend education with entertainment, helping young audiences understand why it is crucial to take action for sustainable development. The event aligns with the principles of the circular economy, stressing the importance of responsible consumption, recycling, and waste reduction.
