We are a volunteer group of climate advocates, who believe that policy changes are one of the biggest levers we have to create positive change for climate. With an impact much bigger than our own individual actions, we look at different topics and pieces of legislation up for debate at the European Parliament and put together policy briefs, points to debate and rally volunteers like us, like you, around specific 'asks'.
More than a recommendation, what the research (and science) tells us needs to happen, in order to drawdown emissions in this space and stay within science based targets.
Even for scientists and policy makers, all this information can be daunting - hard to remember, to identify with and hard to advocate. Moreover, advocate to whom? Who even knows their Member of European Parliament?

Description
Session 1 - June 05, 2023: Start with why - Your climate why
Find your tribe and your voice: Think about what motivates you to advocate for climate - what do you want to save, and for whom? And get inspired by hearing the stories of other folks in the cohort.
Session 2 - June 06, 2023: Our guide to influence and political advocacy
How does political advocacy work? What is the best way to influence people - and how does that fit in our approach? Learn from our Europe Squad and experts in this field, to become a master influencer.
Session 3 - June 07, 2023: Time for action - Climate advocacy in action
Time to flex your democratic biceps: Take action on the topic of your choice, and advocate using your climate why, what you have learned about influencing others, and the resources on climate policy we have prepared in our Action Hub.
Session 4 - June 08, 2023: Keep it up - Follow up and impact
Advocacy without follow up is only half as good: Sometimes it takes one or more follow ups to get an answer. That can happen, but it's up to us to stay on our elected officials until we get a response. We'll support you in your follow up and talk about ways of measuring impact.
Stay with us through all four sessions to earn your certificate.
