HyXchange, TNO and Berenschot will present the final results of the study that explored the NW-European hydrogen spot market (H2SMS) in 2030. Findings will be used to ‘blueprint the rules’ for a hydrogen exchange that will cater to the needs of hydrogen producers, traders and consumers.
Our event will discuss the current and future needs of hydrogen producers, traders and consumers, and in doing so will stimulate debate on new skills needed in support of the hydrogen market and the effective decarbonization of the EU. More concretely, our panel discussion will delve into the extent to which current education systems can and need to adapt to the hydrogen trend.
We look forward to involving our audience in an expert exchange on what these adaptations should include, in full acknowledgment that the skills required for an effective hydrogen market need to be embedded in the education system.

Description
We aim to raise awareness and contribute to public debate on skills for building a hydrogen fueled energy system. Experts agree that growth in hydrogen industries will lead to new employment opportunities in a wide variety of industries.
Many of these jobs require new and different skills than current jobs, and training requirements must be assessed so that this rapidly growing part of the economy has a sufficient supply of trained and qualified workers.
