Description
With Deposit Return Systems (DRS), now recognised in the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), the focus shifts to implementation. DRS have already proven to be an efficient tool for waste collection, high-quality recycling, and other circularity goals. The question now is: how can we ensure they continue to deliver strong results, are further improved, and are successfully introduced in countries where they are not yet in place, while also exploring their potential synergies with reuse targets?
This event will bring together key stakeholders, industry leaders, policymakers, and sustainability experts, to discuss best practices for setting up and optimising DRS in different national contexts. Speakers will explore how DRS can help achieve the objectives of the packaging legislation while integrating with broader circular economy strategies. The discussion will also include insights into the evolving policy landscape, with contributions from institutional and industry perspectives.
Join us to explore how Europe can turn legislative recognition into real-world impact.
