The ESPR Working Table is a joint initiative involving CIRPASS-2, UN/CEFACT, GS1, and other organizations, aimed at fashion brands and designed to create a structured environment where companies can collectively prepare for the technical implementation of the Digital Product Passport and ensure continued access to the European Single Market. Originally presented during last year’s EU Green Week the Working Table has since evolved into a structured, multi-stakeholder initiative designed to help companies move from regulatory awareness towards concrete implementation activities supporting a more transparent, traceable, and resource-efficient textile value chain.
The Working Table brings together brands, supply chain actors, technology providers, and policymakers to foster a shared understanding of the technical and operational implications of ESPR, while enabling concrete collaboration across the value chain. The initiative has also gained recognition within the European ecosystem, including alignment with EU Climate Pact principles and upcoming inclusion among UNECE-related initiatives. The initiative supports the transition towards a more transparent, traceable, resource-efficient, and nature-positive textile value chain. In doing so, it directly contributes to the EU Green Week 2026 theme, “Investing in a nature-positive economy”.
This session will provide participants with an updated overview of the evolving European and global regulatory framework for Digital Product Passports in the textile sector, with direct contributions from institutional and technical actors currently shaping the European and global DPP ecosystem. The discussion will focus on the transition from isolated transparency initiatives towards interoperable data architectures and shared technical standards capable of supporting future ESPR requirements and sustainable value chain transformation.
The event will also mark the operational kick-off of the next phase of the ESPR Working Table for companies already participating in the Working Group, focused on moving from awareness and alignment towards concrete implementation activities related to DPP readiness, data governance, interoperability, and supply chain collaboration. Alongside the regulatory update and the operational kick-off, the session will include an interactive workshop designed to help new participating companies assess their current level of maturity for upcoming DPP requirements.
