Description
We are not afraid of the big issues. Climate change, overconsumption, irresponsible production and poor resource management. Let’s take them on.
We are certain that technology, together with our willingness to behave differently, is key to solving 21st century issues. 100+ masters of innovation, cutting edge technologies and new materials, product and service design as well as other young experts will compete for great prizes with their solutions for the specific challenges of our partners. The battle will last two days, non-stop.
For the event "Getworking" held on 29 May, our focus in this challenge extends beyond merely reducing food waste; we aim to address the interconnected issues of food waste and water usage in food production.
Food waste presents a significant challenge that impacts water resilience in various ways. Firstly, a considerable amount of water is used in the production, processing, and transportation of food. When food goes to waste, all the water resources invested in its production are essentially squandered.
