Network of eco officials - Investing in nature

The event 'Network of eco officials – Investing in nature', taking place on 4 June 2026 in Belgrade, is organised as a partner event of EU Green Week 2026. The event will bring together representatives of local governments, national institutions, international organisations and environmental experts to discuss practical approaches to investing in nature and strengthening biodiversity protection at the local level.

The main objective of the event is to highlight the importance of integrating biodiversity conservation, sustainable land management and environmental governance into local development policies. The discussion will focus on sharing experiences, identifying challenges and promoting cooperation between local authorities and key stakeholders in implementing nature-based solutions. The programme will also include a session dedicated to environmental education for youth, highlighting the importance of engaging young people in environmental protection and sustainability.
