Description

The Nordic capital regions, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, and Oslo, are committed to accelerating circular construction and maximising resource efficiency. As the construction sector has a significant impact on the climate and the environment, transitioning to circular practices presents a major opportunity to enhance sustainability, strengthen supply security, and support resource resilience. However, several challenges remain in reusing construction materials, including quality assurance, logistics, storage, and market development.
This event will bring together speakers from the Nordic capital regions to discuss innovative initiatives and policy frameworks in the transformation to a circular economy. With the upcoming Circular Economy Act in 2026, now is the time to align efforts and shape the future of circular construction. The programme includes a keynote speech setting the European stage, followed by speakers from each of the four Nordic capital regions providing regional insights, and a panel discussion. The event will conclude with a green networking lunch.
