Water, used as a regulator of the climate, supporter of aquatic ecosystems, or as a source of energy, plays a crucial role in nature. Thus, we propose to carry out some activities that will create the best environment for recycling water.

Description
The aim of the project is to increase awareness of the importance of water recycling and greening, through the power of example, i.e. by carrying out specific activities. The idea of the project came from the fact that water faces many pressures including pollution from numerous factors such as industrial chemicals, pesticides, nutrients and pharmaceuticals, climate change, thus people neglecting water and throwing waste that can endanger both human and environment health.
Therefore, we consider that a change must be made, and this must start from local communities because greening local rivers is a step towards cleaner oceans and seas. As the European Commission said, clean water is the driving force of life and the essential resource of the people and nature, that is why the project will align with the policies of the European Commission regarding water protection.
Thus, objectives of the project are:
- Carrying out two greening activities of the river and the nearby area during the duration of the project.
- Planting of 1000 acacia saplings in the perimeter of the Teleajen river on the day of 1 of June 2024.
- Promotion of the project online (Facebook & Instagram) and offline (press) during the project, all materials bearing the logo of the association and the EU Green Week 2024 event.
The target group is made up of adults from Lipănești commune, Prahova, and neighboring towns. Given that these people mostly live in the commune, the event will take place in a physical format. However, people who will not be present will be able to follow the event on social networks.
During the event, the president of the Se Poate Association, the mayor of the Lipăneşti commune and a representative of the Romsilva Forest Department will speak.
