Description
Spain is the second country in the world that receives most tourists according to the UN. It currently has more than 14,000 hotels spread throughout the territory, but mostly concentrated in coastal areas and islands, where water is scarce. With climate change we are seeing more and more shortages of rain and water restrictions are beginning in some autonomous communities such as Catalonia or Andalusia.
The objective of our program is to make hoteliers and tourists aware of the need to save water and to this end we will hold a few days with the technical directors of different horticultural chains to teach them how they can save water in a tourist complex, such as in the separation of water tanks in gardens and swimming pools that can interact between both interconnected with the hotel's wastewater with treatments. Aerators in the faucets or changing bathtubs for showers are other immediate savings measures.
