Water Day

Our school with two other partners have won an Erasmus grant, our topic is environmental. The name of the project is Climate Ambassadors in Action. One partner is Hamza Yerlikaya Ortaokulu School in Sivas, Turkiye. The other partner is an NGO from Greece: Educational Center for Environment and Sustainability of Karpenisi. Our goal is to educate students as well as our community of the importance of environment protection.

We have created a Climate Ambassodors Club with the help of the project and we are doing different activities with them to raise awareness of Climate Change and bring about change in our families and community. We find that Green Week’s Water Resiliance theme is again a great opportunity to bring students and community together for action.

We have planned activites for the club members and for a wider audience as well as some of the activites require special equipment and teacher supervision, whereas some can be done without limiting the number of participants.
With the following activities we are intending to educate, to raise awareness and to promote involvement in action.

Keeping in mind that we have a joint project with two partners, we are sharing any activities that are suitable for working together with our parners. E.g. online tests, the results of the water testing, sharing good practice in cross curricular activity.
