Marco Falconi is Chair of the European Union Network for the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law (IMPEL). His main activity in the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) is to support the Ministry of the Environment, Land and Sea in the technical control of Characterisation Plans, Risk Analysis, Remediation Projects, Monitoring Plans, Emergency Safety in the 41 contaminated sites of national interest.
Marco Falconi is the author of numerous reports and guidelines on the topic of management of contaminated land and sites with Italian and international institutions. He is member of the European Environment Information and Observation Network (EIONET) as the National Reference Centre for soil.
He collaborates or has collaborated with various international institutions such as EEA, European Commission, JRC, UN Environment, FAO, on various aspects concerning soil and groundwater, as well as with various universities in Italy and abroad.
