Towards a Nature-Positive Circular Bioeconomy

Our economy and society rely on healthy, resilient ecosystems, yet alarming declines in soil health, habitats, and pollinators signal growing risks – especially for sectors like agriculture and forestry, which depend on finite natural resources. To secure the future of Europe’s bioeconomy, we must scale up regenerative and nature-positive approaches to biomass sourcing and management.

Circular solutions hold the key to reducing pressures on biomass demand while maintaining productivity and economic viability. By embracing circularity, we can create a bioeconomy that works with nature, not against it—enhancing resilience while ensuring long-term economic sustainability.

Green Week 2025 will provide an opportunity to explore how to integrate sustainable and circular bioeconomy approaches into the EU’s upcoming Bioeconomy Strategy. Join policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators as we chart the path toward a nature-positive future.
