This public debate on Nature-based Solutions (NBS) for soil and water quality improvement aims to openly discuss with representatives of local and regional authorities which good governance elements have been deployed for the adoption of Nature-based Solutions, and how decision-makers moved from initial consultations to actual implementation.
The two-hour public debate will also address the key challenges for adoption, with the aim of collecting valuable evidence on potential barriers and suggesting viable ways forward for new adopters. Invited speakers include practitioners and public authorities from across Europe who have already implemented Nature-based Solutions to reduce soil and water pollution, with a specific focus on nutrient pollution from agricultural production.
Participation in the event is open to all actors interested in facilitating the adoption of Nature-based Solutions, as well as those who have already implemented them and wish to share their experiences. Aiming to foster constructive dialogue between early adopters and newcomers to accelerate the adoption process, the organisers seek to engage the audience throughout, making the event as interactive and meaningful as possible.
The event is organised by ACR+ in the framework of the EU-funded project Seacure.
