The Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) is a €2 billion public-private partnership between the European Union and the Bio-based Industries Consortium. It supports Europe’s transition towards a nature-positive, circular and competitive economy through the development and scale-up of sustainable bio-based industries. CBE JU promotes the replacement of fossil-based materials with renewable alternatives derived from biomass, including waste and residues, while ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources.
CBE JU-funded projects contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving resource efficiency and lowering dependence on fossil resources. At the same time, they support job creation and economic growth, particularly in rural and coastal regions, by developing new value chains and market opportunities.
At EU Green Week 2026, CBE JU will present concrete examples of these innovations through a selection of bio-based products developed by funded projects, including sustainable packaging, construction materials and cleaning products.

BlueInvest is the European Commission’s flagship initiative dedicated to accelerating sustainable investment and innovation in the EU blue economy. At EU Green Week, BlueInvest will showcase how mobilising private capital can actively support the transition towards a nature‑positive economy, where economic activity restores marine ecosystems rather than depleting them.
Through its Community platform, investment readiness support and investor engagement activities, BlueInvest connects innovative startups and SMEs with investors committed to solutions that protect oceans while driving economic value. The initiative supports projects across key blue economy sectors such as sustainable aquaculture and fisheries, marine biodiversity protection, offshore renewable energy, blue biotechnology, ocean observation, circular solutions and low impact maritime activities. These innovations contribute directly to healthier seas, climate resilience and thriving coastal communities.
The stand will highlight real‑life examples of companies supported through BlueInvest that demonstrate how nature‑positive business models can be scalable, investable and competitive. It will also present insights from BlueInvest Investor Reports and success stories, illustrating how environmental performance and financial returns can go hand in hand.
By bridging policy, finance and entrepreneurship, BlueInvest plays a key role in derisking sustainable blue investments and channelling capital towards activities aligned with the EU’s biodiversity, climate and nature restoration objectives.

NursiTree develops smart and circular solutions for growing healthy trees in busy cities. We help solve a common urban problem: many city trees are removed too early because of construction projects, underground cables, parking needs, and changing public spaces.
Our patented Urban Tree Pit system gives trees the space and conditions they need to grow well, even in places with very limited room. The trees can also be moved later to a new location without damaging their roots. This helps cities keep valuable trees for much longer.
We work with municipalities, developers, and public space professionals to create greener, cooler, and more climate-resilient cities. By combining nature, technology, and smart urban design, NursiTree helps make cities healthier and more sustainable for future generations.
