Description
In recent years, recycling has been encouraged, but much remains to be done. Robust market conditions for a secondary raw materials market across Europe are still lacking, and recycling facilities are not operating at full capacity despite significant investments. FNADE wishes to highlight key topics that should be addressed in the upcoming legislative act.
Closing the loop to create a viable circular market for recycled products, ensuring the competitiveness of European plastic recyclers, and incentivising renewable energies and alternative fuels such as biomethane or e-fuels are among the pressing issues. The challenges are growing, and the waste management industry faces numerous needs in order to meet them.
Together with its member companies - major players in the circular economy - FNADE believes that the Circular Economy Act can provide solutions to some of the most urgent environmental and climate challenges. This discussion will offer an opportunity to bring the waste management industry together with key actors from the European institutions.
