Blue moves us. Partner cycling rally

‘Blue moves us’ is a partner cycling rally connecting Radzionków with its partner cities. The event is addressed to residents and enthusiasts of long-distance cycling, combining sport and recreation with environmental education and the promotion of sustainable mobility.

Each day of the rally will focus on a different aspect of environmental protection and the development of a modern nature-positive economy. The first stage will highlight zero-emission mobility, demonstrating how cycling can help reduce emissions and improve air quality in cities. The second day will focus on green technologies, including renewable energy sources and solutions supporting the energy transition. The third stage will address climate protection, explaining how transport influences greenhouse gas emissions and how sustainable mobility can help mitigate climate change.

Another stage of the rally will be dedicated to biodiversity. During meetings along the route, participants will learn how nature conservation, urban greenery and healthy ecosystems help cities adapt to climate change and improve the quality of life for residents. The fifth day will focus on cooperation between partner cities, highlighting the importance of collaboration in implementing environmental initiatives.

In each partner city visited during the rally, participants will take part in the symbolic planting of a partnership tree, representing shared commitment to protecting the environment and strengthening long-term cooperation between communities.

Participants will also have the opportunity to calculate their carbon footprint using a CO₂ emission calculator, which will demonstrate how choosing a bicycle instead of a car contributes to reducing emissions.

The rally shows that building a nature-friendly economy depends not only on new technologies but also on changes in everyday habits. Low-emission transport, cooperation between cities and active involvement of residents can play a real role in developing a modern economy that protects the climate, nature and public health.

The rally will conclude with a green family picnic during the Days of Radzionków, offering an opportunity to celebrate the journey together and reflect on the future of sustainable mobility and local environmental action.
