Collaborative conference to discuss emerging invasive species, sustainable ecosystem services and blue economy prospects in the Veneto Lagoon. The ample participation of projects, practitioners, policymakers, sector representatives, educational institutions and citizens ensures the collaborative proposition of policy actions.

The event is dedicated to discussing in a participative manner the delicate ecosystem of the Veneto Lagoon and how to preserve it while ensuring the livelihood of the important blue economy sector and the right of citizens to enjoy the spectacular ecosystem and its invaluable services. The conference is also an essential occasion to share experiences, expertise and results collected by projects and practitioners, as well as first-hand reports of the negative impacts that invasive species have had on the fragile ecosystem of the lagoon in recent years (blue crab and beyond).
