Description
The event will be hosted by CluBE in the regional unit of the region of Western Macedonia. There will be partnerships with local public bodies, such as the municipality of Kozani, the municipality of Grevena, and the municipality of Eordia, as well as local schools and traditional associations. Each event will include environmental awareness activities to protect the environment and promote the circular economy and bioeconomy. The goal is to foster a more competitive, sustainable, and resilient future. The event will be structured into different themes to present the topic holistically, offering diverse perspectives and incorporating creative expression through product exhibitions and arts such as dance.
Action A: on World Environment Day, CluBE will organise an open event in cooperation with municipalities and other institutions to raise environmental awareness among citizens. Environmental games will take place in each city, encouraging public participation. An exhibition will showcase products from the circular economy and bioeconomy, with a focus on green entrepreneurship.
Action B: CluBE runs educational programmes in schools across five major cities in Western Macedonia. As part of the event, an open session will allow students to present their proposals for a sustainable planet, applying circular economy principles. Local stakeholders, citizens, and young people will be involved to raise awareness and co-create solutions for a more sustainable future.
Action C: a local traditional association will host the national dance festival, where CluBE will organise an environmental education workshop for primary school children. The ecotherapy workshop will feature an interactive exploration of the relationship between humans and nature, showing how this connection is expressed through dance. As part of the workshop, students will also have the opportunity to explore an exhibition of circular economy products.
Action D: in collaboration with a local kindergarten, CluBE will carry out an environmental awareness and education activity in a forest near Kozani city. The activity will include virtual reality experiences and outdoor games, alongside a guided forest walk and exploration to introduce children to the principles of bioeconomy. The aim is to bring young children closer to nature, fostering an early appreciation for environmental sustainability.
