Description
The SASHA coalition proposes to bring together a critical mass of industry and decision makers to ensure that only truly sustainable fuels are used for the decarbonisation of shipping and aviation. Green hydrogen and its derivatives (e-fuels) are scalable and provide the largest emissions reduction potential. In supporting the implementation of the ReFuel EU Aviation and FuelEU Maritime Regulations we must focus on green hydrogen infrastructure in Europe, and the potential for contribution of these sectors to a just transition in achieving the EU’s climate targets by 2050.
The webinar will build upon the SASHA Coalition’s in-depth research on the Green Hydrogen Gap for these sectors. The main focus will be for the webinar to build knowledge of the role that green hydrogen will play in decarbonising shipping and aviation, how green hydrogen can be deployed in the most effective way, and how the green hydrogen opportunity can support green growth, levelling up and a just transition. Speakers will come from the SASHA Coalition secretariat, membership and policymakers.
