Description

UNDP, in collaboration with its partners – the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia and the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia – traditionally organises an event to mark World Environment Day, aiming to highlight the existing challenges in this field and present potential solutions.
At the opening of the event, representatives from UNDP Serbia, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia will address the participants. A panel discussion is planned, featuring representatives from institutions, embassies, international organisations, the business sector, and experts in environmental protection and plastic management. A special session will be organised to showcase successful and innovative solutions that reduce plastic use.
Additionally, a workshop for children will be held to educate them about alternatives to plastic and the importance of environmental preservation. An interactive segment of the programme will engage all participants through a dedicated thematic exhibition. The event aims to raise awareness of this critical issue, emphasise the importance of joint actions, and inform and educate citizens.
