Description

As part of EU Green Week 2025, this breakfast panel and networking event will explore how second-hand consumption and classifieds marketplaces contribute to the circular economy by making reuse a common practice and helping to reduce waste.
Industry leaders from Classifieds Marketplaces Europe (CME) – including Adevinta, OLX Group, Schibsted, Vinted, CustoJusto, and Wallapop — will share insights into the environmental benefits of second-hand marketplaces. CME represents a coalition of online classifieds platforms operating in 21 European countries.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network over coffee and breakfast pastries before a short panel discussion featuring experts from CME member platforms. The conversation will focus on how digital marketplaces make reuse more accessible, the business models behind a thriving second-hand economy, and the role of online platforms in advancing the green and digital transitions.
This event is open to the public and welcomes industry professionals, policymakers, organisations working in sustainable commerce, and anyone interested in the impact of second-hand consumption. Participants will gain valuable insights, take part in discussions, and connect with key players in the reuse economy.
