With Deposit Return Systems (DRS), now recognised in the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), the focus shifts to implementation. DRS have already proven to be an efficient tool for waste collection, high-quality recycling, and other circularity goals. The question now is: how can we ensure they continue to deliver strong results, are further improved, and are successfully introduced in countries where they are not yet in place, while also exploring their potential synergies with reuse targets?
