Description

How can digital solutions accelerate the transition to a circular economy in construction? And how do these tools best integrate into the workflows of manufacturers, constructors, designers, and engineers? These are the key questions addressed by the Reconstruct project, co-funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2022 call.
At the heart of the project are a set of digital solutions, integrated through blockchain, designed to track and trace materials across the construction value chain. These include product passports, building passports, and 6D-BIM models that enable data-driven (de)construction processes. As we face new challenges to futureproof our buildings and close materials loops, these tools provide essential data for informed decision-making. This allows clients and building professionals to assess and compare the environmental impacts of various construction systems and material choices.
During this half-day stakeholder event in Brussels, the Reconstruct partners will present the first iteration of this ecosystem. The focus will be on the role of data and digital tools in supporting the European net zero agenda. Participants will learn about the data, formats, and workflows developed by the project partners.
In the second part of the event, we want to hear from you about the digital needs and challenges in your organisation. Through a workshop format, we aim to better understand how the Reconstruct tools can create value in your day-to-day practice.
