Description

How can we reduce organic waste while enriching the soil with valuable nutrients? This hands-on composting workshop will show participants how to turn bio-waste into natural fertiliser instead of disposing of or burning it.
Workshop program:
- Composting at home
- Learn how to minimise organic waste and make the most of it in an eco-friendly way.
- What to compost? – Understand which waste materials are suitable for composting and which should be avoided to ensure a healthy decomposition process.
- How to set up and maintain a compost bin – Get practical tips on choosing a location, maintaining the right conditions, and balancing materials for optimal composting.
- Using compost effectively – Discover how to apply finished compost in gardens, lawns, and potted plants to improve soil quality and reduce the need for synthetic fertilizers.
Why does composting matter? The workshop will provide practical knowledge that helps participants:
- Reduce waste ending up in landfills.
- Lower greenhouse gas emissions caused by organic waste decomposition.
- Naturally enrich the soil in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
Composting: a key element of the circular economy
Composting is not just an eco-friendly practice but also a core component of the circular economy, where waste becomes a valuable resource.
This simple method helps improve air quality and reduce the environmental footprint of households.
