Description
During the Feast of St. Anthony and Children's Day in Podłęże Królewskie, ecology meets creativity! As part of the Ecosphere initiative within the 'Silesia. Blue Sky Restored' project, we invite participants to engage in the 'Creating eco-friendly decorations' workshop, where they will learn how to transform everyday waste into stylish, functional home decorations. Additionally, an interactive quiz on the circular economy will be held, with eco-friendly prizes for participants.
Upcycling workshop: from jars to minimalist vases
Participants will learn how simple materials, old jars and twine, can be creatively repurposed into elegant vases. The workshop highlights the benefits of upcycling and demonstrates how giving new life to discarded objects contributes to waste reduction and a circular economy. The hands-on activity aims to inspire creativity while encouraging sustainable choices in everyday life.
Circular economy quiz
Following the workshop, attendees can participate in a quiz covering key topics related to waste management and sustainability, including:
- Which materials can be effectively recycled?
- What is upcycling, and why is it beneficial?
- How can household items be repurposed instead of discarded?
- How does recycling impact air quality and reduce pollution?
Each correct answer earns participants an eco-friendly reward, motivating them to engage with the topic and apply their knowledge to real-life sustainability efforts.
Eco-advisory point
Adults will have the opportunity to visit an eco-advisory stand, where they can receive information on:
- Available grants and funding opportunities for eco-friendly home improvements
- Choosing an efficient heating system to reduce emissions
- Thermal modernisation strategies for energy efficiency and cost savings
- Renewable energy solutions (RES), such as solar panels and heat pumps
Understanding how energy efficiency and heating choices impact air quality is crucial for making informed decisions that contribute to a healthier environment.
