Description
In January 2024, the European Commission adopted new legislation and standards for products in contact with drinking water as a cornerstone of the EU Drinking Water Directive implementation. Additionally, the EU is expected to adopt the awaited strategy on water resilience “ReWater EU” soon. NSF aims to join the EU in its efforts to ensure healthy drinking water for its citizens. Since 1944, NSF has stood at the forefront of global efforts to improve human and planet health.
Leveraging 80 years of fulfilling our mission to improve human and planet health experience, NSF has developed public health standards and provided world-class testing, inspection, certification, consulting, and digital solutions to the food, water, health sciences, and consumer goods industries. With this EU Green Week Partner event, NSF proposes to assist manufacturers and beneficiaries in understanding and preparing for the application of the new EU harmonized hygiene standards.
Additionally, we aim to develop strategies tailored to a market covering 27 EU Member States. We invite you to join us for a hybrid roundtable event hosted at our new EU headquarters in Diegem - the Brussels Airport business district.
During this event, EU regulators, consumers, and industry representatives will discuss the content of these regulations with NSF experts, explore the new requirements, understand their implications for the industry, and address upcoming deadlines. It’s an opportunity for participants to express their views, share concerns, set expectations, and kick off a collaborative effort to ensure that drinking water is treated and transported safely to all Europeans.
