Description

4evergreen is a cross-industry alliance dedicated to improving the circularity of fibre-based packaging in support of a climate-neutral and sustainable society. Its goal is to reach a 90% recycling rate for fibre-based packaging by 2030, with particular attention to packaging used in household, out-of-home, and on-the-go consumption.
The alliance brings together more than 110 industry leaders from across the fibre-based packaging value chain, including manufacturers, recyclers, producers, converters, brand owners, retailers, and waste management companies. It also involves suppliers of non-fibre materials, technology providers, research institutes, and start-ups. Together, they develop tools and guidelines to advance sustainability across the sector.
The initiative is hosted by Cepi, the Confederation of European Paper Industries, based in Brussels.
