Green Erasmus - Think global, act local

In collaboration with the associations that actively support incoming and outgoing Erasmus students on a daily basis, the Disummer association, together with Plastic Free Catania, intends to organize a beach clean-up day on June 6, 2026, at Free Beach No. 1 of Playa di Catania.

The activity aims not only to promote active citizenship and environmental awareness, but also to encourage positive behavior among young Europeans and to raise awareness of the serious challenges facing the Mediterranean Sea, which is currently one of the most polluted seas in the world.

Through interaction between Sicilian students and Erasmus students, the initiative fosters communication and cultural exchange among different cultures through social engagement.

Con la collaborazione delle associazioni che ogni giorno si occupano attivamente di studenti Erasmus incoming ed outgoing l'associazione Disummer, di concerto con Plastic Free Catania, intende realizzare il 6 giugno 2026 una giornata di pulizia della spiaggia libera n.1 della Plaja di Catania. 

L'attività intende non solo promuovere la cittadinanza attiva e la consapevolezza ambientale ma incoraggiare comportamenti positivi da parte dei giovani europei e far comprendere le profonde difficoltà che attraverso il Mar Mediterraneo oggi, uno dei mari più inquinati al mondo. 

Tramite l'interazione tra studenti siciliani e studenti Erasmus si favorisce lo scambio comunicativo tra culture diverse attraverso l'impegno sociale.
