What does investing in nature look like in practice? Sometimes it starts with very simple things: curiosity, knowledge and discovering the natural world together. During the opening of the ‘Outdoor eco classroom’ at Primary School No. 1 in Bieruń, participants will take part in a unique encounter with ecology filled with fun, discoveries and inspiring challenges.
At a special interactive stand prepared by the eco-manager of the Municipality of Bieruń, visitors will find educational quizzes, riddles and short ecological missions designed to show in an engaging way how important nature is in our everyday lives. Participants will test their knowledge of biodiversity, learn why urban trees and plants play such an important role in improving air quality and discover simple actions everyone can take to support the environment in their immediate surroundings.
At the heart of the event is the new outdoor eco classroom - a space created for learning through experience and direct contact with nature. It is a place where environmental education moves beyond the classroom walls and into the natural environment. Participants will see that nature itself can be the best classroom, while the green space around the school can become a living laboratory for exploring the world.
Educational games and activities will also show that investing in nature does not always require large projects or costly infrastructure. Sometimes it begins with awareness of the environment around us - caring for urban greenery, planting plants or creating spaces friendly to insects and wildlife. These everyday actions help build greener, healthier and more liveable communities.
‘Green mission – investing in nature!’ is an event designed to inspire curiosity about nature and encourage participants of all ages to become part of a positive environmental change.
The event is organised as part of the project ‘Silesia. Blue Sky Restored’.
Host: Elżbieta Musialik, eco-manager of the Bieruń Municipality.
