Investing in nature: Nature-based Solutions for circular and regenerative cities

As part of EU Green Week 2026, ENEA is promoting the webinar "Investing in Nature. Nature-based Solutions for Circular and Regenerative Cities" on June 19th. This partner event focuses on the role of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in urban and regional regeneration.

The initiative is part of the ICESP Platform's Strategic Focus on "Circular Cities and Territories" and aims to foster a multidisciplinary discussion on approaches, tools, and strategies capable of integrating environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and territorial development.

The webinar will explore the contribution of Nature-based Solutions to circular urban regeneration through the presentation of case studies, local experiences, and research activities, with a particular focus on the drivers, impacts, and barriers that influence their implementation and dissemination.

Topics covered include:

• Nature-based Solutions and circular urban regeneration;
• Territorial resilience and climate adaptation;
• Experiences and best practices at the urban and regional scale;
• Results of analysis and benchmarking activities related to Nature-based Solutions implemented in Italian and European urban contexts;
• Opportunities and challenges for implementing nature-positive approaches.

The event will feature representatives from research, universities, and associations working on urban and territorial sustainability.
