Description
The family ecological picnic is an event that promotes environmental awareness and an active lifestyle among residents. The picnic will be organized in a large city park to utilize the natural surroundings and highlight its value for the health and well-being of the community.
During the picnic, organizers focus on a variety of attractions for children and adults. Among the offerings are face painting with natural paints, art contests using eco-friendly materials, workshops on building shelters for wild insects, and interactive educational games on nature-related topics. For active participants, there will also be sports activities such as running along nature trails or team games outdoors.
Various topics related to environmental protection will be addressed, including issues concerning water and air. Experts will conduct workshops on water conservation, the impact of pollution on water quality, and methods of protection.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the importance of preserving water resources and what actions they can take to maintain water cleanliness and accessibility for future generations. Regarding air quality, the eco-manager will discuss the importance of clean air for human health and the environment, informing participants about the risks associated with air pollution and ways to improve it.
Presentations will be conducted on sources of air pollution, such as emissions from vehicles or the municipal sector, and residents will be encouraged to take actions to reduce the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere. One of the main attractions of the picnic will be the eco-manager's stand, where information about environmental protection and ways in which everyone can contribute to improving the state of nature in their surroundings will be provided.
The eco-manager will also inform about air quality, the necessity of replacing heat sources, and possible sources of funding. The benefits of participating in the picnic will not only include fun and integration with other participants but also environmental education, motivation to take pro-environmental actions, and promotion of active outdoor activities for physical and mental well-being.
Such events not only provide entertainment but also inspire actions for environmental protection, both at the individual and collective levels. The picnic is a part of The 8th Gliwice Family Festival.
