Can investing in nature begin with shared community activity? The cycling rally ‘Positive for nature’ in the Municipality of Krzanowice demonstrates that environmental care can successfully combine physical activity, education and community fun. The event promotes active lifestyles, strengthens environmental awareness and brings residents together around actions that support nature.
Participants will gather at the Bird Corner thematic park in Krzanowice, the starting point of a cycling route of approximately ten kilometres leading through the municipality’s landscapes. The finish line will be located at the green area near the Regional Chamber in Krzanowice, where the second part of the event will take place – a family outdoor game titled ‘An Unforgettable Nature Adventure’.
The game has been designed as an intergenerational educational activity. Within the game area, as many as 100 nature-themed riddles and puzzles will be hidden for participants to find and solve. The challenges will focus on local wildlife, biodiversity, environmental protection and the importance of green spaces for the well-being of communities.
The format encourages teamwork, healthy competition and shared exploration of nature. At the same time, the event highlights the importance of environmental responsibility. Participants will solve tasks in a natural environment, learning respect for nature and understanding its role in everyday life.
The cycling rally and the outdoor game show in practice that investing in nature also means investing in knowledge, community engagement and social connections. Initiatives like this help build awareness that environmental protection begins with recognising and appreciating the nature closest to us.
At the end of the event, participants will gather at the finish area for a community bonfire, creating a moment for relaxation, conversation and reflection after the nature adventure. During the finale, the results of the game will be announced, prizes will be awarded to the best teams and participants will receive ‘Friends of Nature’ diplomas.
The ‘Positive for nature’ rally demonstrates that collective action by local residents can help build a community that develops in harmony with nature.
The event is organised as part of the project ‘Silesia. Blue Sky Restored’.
