Can investing in nature begin with a small flower pot and a bit of imagination? During the workshop 'A pot with character', participants will discover that creating green spaces around us can be both a creative activity and a meaningful, nature-positive step towards a more environmentally friendly world.
The workshops will take place as part of a festival of amateur artistic activities organised by the Municipal Centre for Culture and Art. Within this lively setting, a special creative zone will be created where nature meets art and the imagination of participants.
During the activities, children, young people and entire families will have the opportunity to decorate their own flower pots, giving them a unique character through colours, patterns and creative designs. After decorating the pots, participants will plant herbs or small plants that they can take home — turning a creative moment into a lasting, personal investment in nature.
The workshops combine creativity with environmental education. Through shared activities, participants will learn simple ways to introduce greenery into homes, balconies or gardens and discover how everyday actions can support nature and improve air quality in their surroundings. The workshop demonstrates that even a small plant can become the beginning of a larger change, encouraging awareness of nature and a genuine commitment to caring for the environment.
The event is designed for children, young people and families, encouraging shared experiences, creativity and the discovery that investing in nature can be simple, inspiring and enjoyable.
'A pot with character' shows that building a nature-positive future often begins with small steps: planting a herb, creating a green corner at home and developing everyday ecological habits that grow into something bigger.
The event is implemented as part of the project 'Silesia. Blue Sky Restored'.
