Description
It is our pleasure to invite you to join us on 16 June during EU Green Week for an insightful event titled 'Raising awareness for sustainable product design, innovative digital tools and serious games.' Please join us on 16 June to take full advantage of the potential and synergies of two major revolutions of our time: circular economy and green manufacturing. The event is open to the general public, including all stakeholders interested in circular practices. We also aim to invite grade 11 and 12 students and the general public interested in learning about new challenges.
The international project 'CIRC-UITS' (Circular Integration of Independent Reverse Supply Chains for the Smart Reuse of Industrially Relevant Semiconductors), launched on 1 January 2023, addresses the emerging semiconductor material crisis by supporting value chains in the automotive and mass electronics industries. The project develops digital solutions for the design, manufacture and management of electronic components and end-of-life products.
The project also includes testing in an appropriate industrial environment. In addition, CIRC-UITS develops sustainable methods, based on a circular model, to produce new high-added-value components and products by reusing semiconductors from different sources and supporting their remanufacturing.
