Description

Circular fashion is the future of responsible consumption. 'ReModa: chic swap' is an event that connects fashion lovers with the principles of the circular economy, promoting clothing reuse and reducing textile waste. During the event, participants will exchange clothing and accessories, giving them a second life while reducing excessive consumption. The fashion industry has a significant environmental impact, generating millions of tonnes of waste annually and consuming vast amounts of water and energy. Many textiles end up in landfills, even though they could be reused. 'ReModa: chic swap' encourages rethinking fashion—instead of buying new items, people can find unique pieces while helping the planet.
Participants will also learn how textile waste affects air quality. Production, transportation, and incineration of clothing generate emissions that harm the climate and public health. By swapping clothes, we reduce demand for new textiles, conserve resources, and lower the carbon footprint of clothing production. This event is not only an opportunity to discover stylish wardrobe additions, but also a gathering for conscious consumers who want to take active steps toward sustainability.
'ReModa: chic swap' is a practical step toward responsible fashion and the circular economy. This event is organised as part of the LIFE project 'Silesia. Blue Sky Restored.'
