Description
This event aims at creating raising awareness about the links between water pollution and the exacerbation of water scarcity and empowering the public by informing them of the EU's capacity to mitigate PFAS pollution and equip them with actionable tools to advocate for decisive action from policymakers. The audience will include policy experts from European institutions and civil society as well as the general public in Bruxelles.
This innovative event will locate itself at the interface of arts (through the participation of Artists such as Non-Human Non-Sense and Jemma Woolmore), policy and science in the hope of creating new fora for discussion, new approaches to citizen engagement, new tools to address ecoanxiety and solastalgia and new pathways to promote environmental artivism.
The event will start with the guided visit of two interactive installations related with PFAS at the Museum of iMAL and will follow with an interactive panel with a EU commissioner (or his/her delegate), an artist, representative of affected people, regulatory authorities and scientists.
