Three Brothers Eco Zone

  • Conferences and summits

For many years the Three Brothers Festival has brought together residents of Cieszyn and Český Těšín on both sides of the Olza River. Alongside concerts, meetings and celebrations, a special space dedicated to something that unites people even more strongly will appear – care for the environment and the future of the place we share.

During the event, an open Eco Zone will be created for residents of both Cieszyns, prepared by the municipality’s eco-manager. It will be a welcoming place for meetings, conversations and inspiration, where visitors can learn how investing in nature can begin with everyday actions in their own neighbourhoods.

In the information area, residents will be able to take part in individual consultations about programmes supporting environmentally friendly investments. Experts will explain what opportunities are available for people planning to modernise heating systems, improve the energy efficiency of buildings or invest in renewable energy sources. It will be a great opportunity to ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere and discover how decisions made at home can contribute to cleaner air and environmental protection.

The Eco Zone will also offer activities for younger visitors. In a special environmental corner, children will take part in quizzes, puzzles and games focused on renewable energy, air pollution and waste sorting. Through play combined with learning, the youngest participants will discover that caring for nature can be both engaging and fun, while the knowledge gained during such activities helps build positive habits for the future.

The Eco Zone during the Three Brothers Festival demonstrates that investing in nature begins with knowledge, dialogue and cooperation within local communities. It is a place where a traditional city celebration meets a modern approach to environmental protection, and where residents on both sides of the border can explore how everyday choices influence air quality, the state of nature and the quality of life in the region.

The event is organised as part of the project ‘Silesia. Blue Sky Restored’.

Host: Ewa Chrobok, eco-manager of the Cieszyn Municipality.
