'The WINNing Days – accelerating innovation in EU SMEs towards water circularity' targets water stakeholders who develop innovative solutions that promote the triple transition (green, digital and resilient) in the water sector. It also targets policymakers involved in developing innovation and industrial strategies at regional level, as well as research and technology organisations (RTOs) working in the water sector or water-intensive industries.
The event is organised into three main blocks to promote matchmaking and cooperation among participants, with the aim of generating future innovation projects.
The first block features a round table with beneficiaries of the CircInWater funding programme, which supports innovative SMEs in addressing three specific water challenges identified by the project:
- Reducing water risk for agri-food and energy-intensive industrie
- Accelerating the circular economy
- Promoting quality monitoring and water treatment, remediation and disinfection
Beneficiaries will present the main achievements of their projects and will discuss broader topics relevant to the water sector and cascade funding opportunities.
In addition, key funding opportunities for SMEs will be presented in a clear and accessible format, offering a comprehensive overview that supports the acceleration of collaborative innovation.
Finally, a matchmaking session hosted on B2match will follow the online event and run from 6 to 20 June. Its purpose is to enable networking and cooperation opportunities by offering a dedicated environment for the development of ideas and projects.
