Professor Dragan Savic is Chief Executive Officer of the KWR Water Research Institute in the Netherlands. He is an internationally recognised leader in water and environmental engineering who has made significant contributions globally to the research, education and practice of planning and management of water systems, all embedded in transdisciplinary research methods.
Working with water science and engineering professionals, business leaders, policymakers and professional organisations he has helped water and wastewater utilities move towards digital adoption in the sector.
The breadth of his work is such that major impact has been achieved in the field of asset planning and management, the water-food-energy nexus, flexible and robust planning for long-term water infrastructure transitioning and in smart water systems.
